Amoako Boafo
MAISON PERRIER® has launched the MAISON PERRIER® Art Prize, a new international mentorship programme for emerging artists, with acclaimed painter Amoako Boafo announced as its inaugural mentor.
The first edition centres on a six-week residency at dot.ateliers in Accra, Boafo’s artist-run space in Ghana, designed to foster artistic exchange, experimentation and professional growth. The initiative reflects MAISON PERRIER®’s long-term commitment to supporting emerging talent through international visibility, creative collaboration and sustained mentorship.
Applications are now open at maisonperrier.fr until 31st March 2026 at 11:59pm CET. An international jury will select the finalists in April, before Boafo chooses the global winner in May 2026.
The jury brings together leading figures from across the global art world, including Laurent Le Bon, President of the Centre Pompidou (Paris); Cathia Lawson-Hall, Co-founder of the Centre Pompidou’s Africa Acquisitions Committee; Fabrice Bousteau, art critic and Editor-in-Chief of Beaux Arts Magazine and Le Quotidien de l’Art; Thomas E. Moore III, Executive Director of the American Friends of the Louvre; and Jimena Blázquez Abascal, Director of the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC) in Seville.
The prize is open to artists working in graphic arts, with a focus on painting and drawing. Applicants must hold a recognised diploma or degree in fine arts, applied arts or graphic design and be over 25 years old. Submissions should include a concise portfolio of original works created within the last five years, alongside a short statement outlining the artist’s practice, influences and ambitions. Works must be original and previously unawarded. Artists of all nationalities may apply.
The winning artist will receive a package designed to support both creative and professional growth, including a mentorship with Amoako Boafo, a six-week residency at dot.ateliers in Accra, up to €40,000 in financial support, and the opportunity to see their work appear in a limited-edition MAISON PERRIER® packaging release.
